2010 Youth Leadership Boot-Camp |

Everest Youth Development Division, a subsidiary of Everest Leadership Group (ELG), is pleased to announce its first Youth Leadership Boot Camp.
The objective of Everest
Youth Leadership Boot Camp 2010 is to guide qualified high achieving high school
and college students into developing their leadership qualities in different areas of life
in a in a professional and joyful life enhancing experience.
Everest Youth Leadership Boot
Camp 2010 introduces the participants to the eight key leadership traits
that are critical to their success in education and beyond:
Teambuilding,
Goal-Setting, Communication, Conflict Management, Problem-Solving, Character
Development, and Organizational skills.
Upon
successful completion of the program, participants will graduate with a
Certificate and a personalized President Recommendation Letter that
can be used to support college and job applications as well as scholarships
Program Description
This camp is based on
the well-known and structured “The Making of the Champion” (MOC) program
of Leadership Management International (LMI). The effectiveness of this program
has been validated for the past 45 years. Paul J. Meyer, the founder and the
former CEO of LMI, is the original author of “The Making of the Champion
”. This well structured program is full of entertaining tools, exercises and
games that are all goal-directed. They instill and develop the foundation
of leadership in high-achieving youths. The MOC program is based on deep self
discovery and built on inner strengths. Each session of the Everest Youth
Leadership Boot Camp 2010 is designed to educate, inspire and
motivate participants by giving them the confidence and leadership skills
that will lead them to a successful future.

In addition to the
knowledge of leadership concepts through the MOC program, this camp is designed
to apply the concepts taught through role-modeling as well as physical and
mental activities. The participants will have the opportunity to interact with
many well-known community role-models and leaders. Personal interaction
with known successful leaders will allow positive impact in the participant's
character as they will receive direct experience and guidance that cannot be
found in textbooks.
Guest Speakers and Field Interviews
The
following guest speakers are invited to address the participants with their
leadership journey, obstacles, and success stories. The participants will
interact with these leaders either in their offices or in ELG training center in Totowa,
NJ.

First elected to the Borough Council of Oakland, New Jersey in the fall of 2000, Sheriff McGuire has spent his life securing our communities and protecting us. Sheriff McGuire began his service in January of 1978 by enlisting in the United States Army at the age of 18.

United States Senator for New Jersey
Senator Lautenberg was born in Paterson, New Jersey,
the son of Polish and Russian immigrants who came to the United States
through Ellis Island. His early life was unsettled as his parents moved
about a dozen times while struggling to support the family.
Lautenberg's
father, Sam, worked in the silk mills, sold coal, farmed and once ran a
tavern. When Lautenberg was 19, his father died of cancer. To help his
family, he worked nights and weekends until he graduated from Nutley
High School.

November of 1996 and was sworn into his seventh term in January of
2009. The Congressman is married to the former Elsie Marie Botto and
they have three children, William III, Glenn Martin, and David Joseph.

Governor Chris Christie has a deep affection and strong commitment to New Jersey.Born

Mayor Khairullah settled with his family in Prospect Park in 1991 as new immigrants to the United States. After his father fell ill
in 1992 and as the oldest son in his family, Khairullah
was forced to work to support his family before
even graduating high school. Khairullah supported
himself and his family during his college years
getting his drive from the principles, of family,
dedication, hard work taught to him by his parents.
Khairullah ran for office in 2001 and became a
Councilman in January of 2002. He decided to run
for office because he thought it was the right
time to move his community involvement to the
next level.

Pat Lepore was elected in November of 2004. Freeholder Lepore is
also serving his third term as the Mayor of West Paterson .
Growing up in Paterson, the Mayor graduated from
St. Joseph's High School Pat and his wife, Linda, have been proud to call the Borough of
West Paterson home for the past 31 years. Their son, Robert, is
currently on active duty as a United States Marine, and they are
very proud that their son has continued the family tradition of
service to his country and community. As Freeholder Lepore very
proudly commented at his swearing in, "My son's public service,
far exceeds my own".
